"ARSkontakt: The Balance"

Kateřina Tučková, curator of ARSkontakt (young artists competition) decided to make its fourth year as a balancing event and presented the latest works of those, who should be now well-proven and well-established, the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize in last three years of ARSkontakt (earlier Artkontakt). Only Pavla (Zemková) Tichá as a new mother did not attend this show. :) Presented authors (in alphabetical order): Igor Grimmich, Alice Hilmarová, Tereza Janečková, Jan Karpíšek, Václav Kočí, Martin Salajka, Ludmila Smejkalová, Radoslav Zrubec. Brno: 19.4.-15.5.2007, Praha (The Supreme Burgrave's House): 10.10.-10.11.2007. A nice catalogue was printed for this exhibition. We saw during installing that monumental painting by Rado Zrubec is getting sinked on the panel wall so Punkwa Art Group has taken command over action. Attacking graffiti by Lukáš Hladík and Michal Čechura was attacked by curator with a label sticked on wall later. :)

Then we have been jamming through the opening itself, Samuel Paučo excellent on guitar, my instument was made of old telephones bells from Kras the demolished factory (Russian investors are going to build a new skyscraper there) and one bigger bell borrowed from our flat. Musician Petr Váša adviced me to use the opposite end of screw-driver, I'm thankful for that. Photos from the opening were made by Martina Švarcová and Barbara Zemanová.
